We have a “pop-up” Young Eagles opportunity at the upcoming 5k on the Runway event on Saturday, April 4th, at EVV. Save the date, circulate to pilots and expect details soon!

We are all set for this Saturday's (4/4) Young Eagle Event from 0930-1130 at EVV. This is in conjunction with the 5k on the Runway & EVV Aviation Day. Organizers requested aircraft for static displays be setup by 0700 (7am) Saturday outside the Tri-State Aero's west maintenance hanger (see attached image). You also can pre-position your aircraft Friday afternoon.

Skylane (3EV) based aircraft, myself included, if we get rain as forecasted, it is highly doubtful the field will be usable early Saturday.

If participation or weather prohibits this event our "rain date" will be the next scheduled Young Eagles event at the May 2 Fly-in at Henderson Airport (KEHR). Please circulate this to everyone.

Please call (feel free to leave a message) or e-mail me if willing to participate:

I will be there for non-flying help. Thanks to those making the effort.

Only heard from two folks and I'm starting meds for the flu so will likely be grounded at home for Saturday. Understand weather is an issue but please let me or Steve or Keith know if you can fly or help.

With the rain we've had most of us are stuck at 3EV tomorrow. Nonetheless, several EAA folks will be on the ground at tomorrow's EVV event providing a ground school and offering "rain checks" via flyers announcing our upcoming YE/E dates:
May 2 - Fly-in & Young Eagles Event (KEHR);
Jun 27 - Young Eagles & Eagles Event for Girls (KEVV);
Oct 3 - Fly-in & Young Eagles Event (KEHR).

Stay dry,
