This seminar will present several emergency situations that can occur in flight and discuss methods for recovery.

Brief Description:

Please welcome Ms. Catherine Cavagnaro, ATP/CFI and proprietor of Ace Aerobatic School. Join your fellow airmen as Catherine presents emergencies such as wake turbulence upsets and stalls at low altitude and discusses recommended recovery procedures. The seminar will feature videos that help explain the associated aerodynamics.

Directions to Venue:

This seminar will take place in a hangar provided by Bud Layne of SpanTech, LLC. Co-Mar FBO and EAA members will provide directions to the hangar in the rear, accessed from the main ramp.

Please welcome Ms. Catherine Cavagnaro, Professor of Mathematics at the University of the South, located in Sewanee Tennessee. She has served as a spin demonstration pilot for the University of TN Space Institute, and participated in their research and flight testing for icing in flight. She is also a designated pilot examiner (DPE) for the Nashville FSDO.

Catherine enjoys finding ways to explain difficult aviation concepts in a fun and entertaining way. She films inflight videos to make this happen in her presentations.

Early registration here on faasafety.gov is recommended.

Be sure to count this program in your WINGS ground credit. Take a flight course with Catherine and satisfy the entire Basic Phase!
