The following is posted for information only and is NOT an endorsement for services by EAA, EAA Chapter 21 nor the poster: From J. R. Voyles, (CFI, CFII, MEI, RHI, RHI-I): I think we have gotten far enough along with organization at Owensboro Airport to offer some ground schools. We have been working feverishly to get organized enough to offer the training. We are located at: Eagle Flight Academy, LLC 2180 Airport Road Owensboro, KY 42301 Phone: 270-993-4359 This location is located to the right just before you get to the terminal building at the Owensboro Airport. Look for our mailbox on the street and then our sign on the door. The first is an Instrument Rating Ground Course that will be offered on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 PM. This course will be taught by Mr. Brad Leonard and will start on August 4th.. The cost of the course is $600 and will last approximately 16 weeks. If you have attended our instrument course in the past, you may attend again at no cost to you and hopefully we will be able to secure your instrument rating upon completion. The private pilot ground course will be offered on Thursday nights also from 6-8 PM. This course will be taught by Mr. Ronnie Bunn and will start on August 6th. The cost of the course is $400 and will be based on your ASA student kit that most of you have already purchased. The length of the course will be approximately 12 weeks. This is the first time Eagle Flight Academy has offered the Private Pilot course in several years. Hopefully it will assist in your preparation for your Private Pilot license. You may call our office if you have any questions about either course. I realize this is a short notice before the start of each class but hope you can attend if you desire. Voyles, (CFI, CFII, MEI, RHI, RHI-I): Sorry, but here is the first change trying to get the ground schools started. The Instrument Ground School is moved to Thursdays from 6-8PM starting on 6 August. Hopefully this change will help eliminate some of the conflicts that existed with some of the instrument students. The Private Pilot Ground School start date is currently delayed and is being evaluated when we can conduct the course with a minimum of conflicts.
