Dear friends,

A local Evansville child with terminal cancer has asked via the Make-A-Wish foundation to go to Disney (Orlando) in the next 10 days or so. Time is critical for this youngster so please understand we are trying to put this together quickly.

The mission particulars are still being determined but I do know it would be the child and family member flown to Orlando from Evansville (and the return) area. I have already asked about dates, weights, baggage requirements, any particular medical needs, etc. - I will update here as the information becomes available.

Should you, or someone you know, be in a position to accept this mission, please let me know ASAP. I am not familiar with Make-A-Wish requirements but if it is similar to Angel Flight command pilot requirements, it would be 250 hours PIC, 75 hours in type, 75 hours in last 12 months, Class 3 or better medical for private pilots. These requirements are typically waived for commercial or ATP rated pilots.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation has placed this mission on hold. No details are forthcoming - likely due to patient confidentiality.
