Our IMC Club application has been sent and accepted. Many thanks to the following charter members - Vaughn DeCoster, Jules Mominee, Bruce Epmeier and Rick Kaskel. It will take a few weeks for me to complete the required training and materials review and then we can schedule our first IMC Club meeting. This will likely be sometime in June; quarterly thereafter until we can gauge interest. Note: The IMC Club meeting is NOT A SUBSTITUTE for the regular Chapter meeting. To all Chapter members: EVERYONE is eligible to be an IMC Club member. There is no rating or experience requirement - simply an interest in instrument flying, flight safety and advanced weather operations. I encourage all of our potential and current IFR rating students, as well as current IFR rated pilots to join us. Additionally, if you are transitioning to a TAA (technologically advanced aircraft) or building/buying one, this is a great forum to interact with those currently flying these systems. The format is primarily "hangar flying". Materials are available from EAA national so we'll have a number of topics at the ready for us. |
