D-Day: The 70th Anniversary - (Archives)

Author Harold Morgan will present a special program on the epic Normandy Invasion, which began on June 6, 1944 and led to the Allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany's control. Mr. Morgan has published "Home Front Heroes: Evansville and the Tri-State in World War II" and "Home Front Warriors," a pictorial history of Evansville's LST shipyard and Republic Aviation plant.

The program is free and open to the public; reservations are appreciated to ensure sufficient seating. For more information, call (812) 425-4309, ext. 114.

For those that might have missed the Harold Morgan presentation at Evansville, he is scheduled to be at the Mt Vernon library May 19th (Mon) at 6 PM.

The Alexandrian Public Library is located at 115 W 5th Street, Mt Vernon, IN.

Those attending have a chance to win copies of Harold Morgan's books.
