Just a reminder it is Chapter 21 meeting time. We are going to be serving hotdogs and our gracious Chapter Secretary, JoAnn is baking a strawberry cake in honor of Valentines Day.

We will be having an open discussion of coming events and time permitting another Chapter Video will be shown. So, come and enjoy the food and fellowship Wednesday, Feb 12, 2014, 7pm at Skylane Airport.

Hi,
After previewing the EAA supplied video, I believe y'all will enjoy it this evening. It reenacts a 'farm boy' being 'selected' to learn to fly from the ground up to a B-29. (FiFi the only remaining flying)

Most of the 'training' is given to Jeff Skyles (the co-pilot who landed in the Hudson with Scully) and he gives a honest commentary of each aircraft flying characteristics. The camera is in the cockpit often to record the pilot's actions.

If you are a pilot or just love to fly, you will appreciate what our young men accomplished.

Hopefully, we will also have some who experienced this 'trip' first hand. Earl

I was so disappointed that I missed the meeting! I'm teaching a evening course this semester and most times my students do little talking. The one night I want to get out on time..... Next time!

An update about the Fuburary EAA21 meeting.

The Valentine cake, cookies and hotdogs were enjoyed by 20 or so while most were engaging in airplane talk before the start of the official meeting. Thank you Jo Ann! And Mike made some coffee that kept me awake until the wee hours of the morning. ;)

Steve is asking for volunteers to help in the upcoming activities being planned for this Summer. We need to provide him a list of names during the March meeting so please attend and decide which group to join.

The video mentioned above was a hit! For those who missed it we hope to include the ability to add them to this forum soon. Stay tuned.

Hope to see y'all next meeting. Jo Ann is already planning the food menu. Earl
