Any of you who are planning to help at our Young Eagles event at the Flora Municipal Airport this coming Saturday, October 17, should plan to arrive by 8:00 AM for the pilot briefing and to help with setup. We will be flying kids ages 8 to 17 from 9 AM until 3 PM and need help with the registration paperwork, loading kids into the planes on the ramp and of course pilots and planes to help fly them.
Our last event at Effingham was very successful with over 100 kids flown, but we had another nearly 50 kids that we had to turn away. We have more planes and pilots expected to participate this time but we also need additional help with the registration desk and ramp marshaling. Volunteers would be greatly appreciated.
