Looking for an excuse to get away from the in-laws visiting over the July 4th holiday?
Have you thrown in the towel on fighting crabgrass?
Tired of the hot, dry weather?
Interested in learning about aviation?
Come on out to Henderson Airport on Saturday, July 1st from 10AM - 2PM and join the EAA Chapter 21 members on the ramp at KEHR for food and fun. Talk with the pilots, check out the airplanes and learn more about experimental aircraft, aircraft building, becoming a pilot and honing your storytelling skills (believe me, these guys can tell whoppers).
Once again, the Grillmeisters will be out preparing your favorite grilled sausages and burgers; cold beverages available too. Donations are accepted to help us cover the cost of food.
While you're there, schedule an introductory airplane ride with the good folks at Don Davis Aviation. (Ask them to fly over downtown Evansville or your ex's house for a photo op). And you can watch all the activities from the elevated viewing platform. The platform is covered to keep you out of the sun and has plenty of seating.
Mark your calendars, watch the weather forecast, tell the family you're going fishing and come on out to Henderson airport on July 1st from 10AM - 2PM. Food is served 11AM - 1PM. Watch this forum for updates on weather or scheduling.
Note - aviation related activities may become habit forming.
